Big up Lora Millward, Our retiring chair
Since joining the club, over two decades ago. Way back, when we were struggling with only the one ladies side. Lora has worked tirelessly both on and off the pitch for NHC.
Her commitment, has been second to none. From captain, coach, secretary, kit master, and chair. She is always up for a social and a tour, renowned for the odd pole dancing escapade.
She has also lead the campaign, along with Sarah Rendell, pushing for a pitch for Newquay. Even writing to royalty!
She is known for a passionate rant, should the need arise, and her commitment to the club should not be underestimated. You only have to look our recent growth as a club, and how smart we look on the pitch!
Lora has recently become one of a select group of NHC life members, including the founding members. At our recent End of Season Lora was also awarded Ladies 1st team Player of the season, this is no more than she deserves.
Thankfully she is not going anywhere, just taking a step back, ‘we will see, how that goes’!
